Hi I’m Lara! I’m the baker and heart of Lara’s Cakes and Bakes. I’ve been baking treats for my friends and family for over 15 years. Helping someone’s day be better with a homemade treat is one of the best feelings in the world to me.
I love being creative and baking is one of my creative outlets. I have also been a web and digital designer. I designed wedding and party invitations, and I worked on emails and websites for a local non-profit.
Along with my passion for baking, I also love to travel and experience new cultures. After graduating college, I taught English in China and explored the country on my time off. I have explored the UK, and I plan to check more countries off of my bucket list with my family.
I am a mom to a four-year-old, and my spouse and I love going on adventures with him. We reside in the KC Metro area, and enjoy supporting our local businesses. GO CHIEFS!
Baking and creating this business has been a dream of mine since I was in college. I almost left my traditional four year university for culinary school in New York.
